SSEL is a leading name in HVDS projects, designed specifically to supply electricity to agricultural consumers via selected 11 kV feeders.
The process involves converting low-voltage distribution networks into high-voltage distribution systems by upgrading 415 V LT lines into 11 kV HT lines. In addition, large distribution transformers (100/63 kVA “mother DTRs”) are replaced with smaller 25 kVA transformers.
In this model, LT overhead lines are eliminated, and instead, LT aerial bunched (AB) cables are used from the transformer to the agricultural bore well. This ensures the complete elimination of LT line faults.
